Dr Minfei Fei is a Research Associate at the University of Cambridge. He obtained his PhD with No Corrections from Cambridge, a master’s degree from Rice University, and a BEng from Nanjing University as the only Outstanding Graduate from his cohort. He also spent a research visit to Pacific Northwest National Laboratory in the USA.

Minfei’s research focuses on addressing next generation energy challenges. In particular, he is interested in understanding the fundamental mechanisms in rechargeable batteries, especially the correlation between battery interface physicochemical properties and device-level performance. The scientific understanding guides the rational design of next generation sustainable batteries.
