Hyun-Kyung Kim received B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees from Seoul National University of Science & Technology and Yonsei University in 2006 and 2008, respectively.

In 2015, she received Ph.D. degree from Yonsei University. She was a Senior Research Associate at University of Cambridge working on cutting edge research on advanced batteries.

Her research focuses on the development of new electrode materials for energy storage devices. She has published 90 papers and is named as an inventor on 20 patents.
